Iowa Soccer Championship Series

The Iowa Soccer Championship Series (ISCS) is the qualifying tournament for determining advancement to the Iowa State Cup and the Iowa Presidents Cup. Teams intending to compete in the Iowa State Cup or the Iowa Presidents Cup must compete in the Iowa Soccer League, the Midwest Regional League or the US Youth Soccer National League, which is the requirement for entry into the ISCS. Group play is the format that determines advancement to the Iowa State Cup or the Iowa Presidents Cup.
 

ISCS- Pathway to the Cups


Details

  • The ISCS is a group play event for 13U-19U teams.  Results of group play determines a team's advancement to either the Iowa State Cup or the Iowa Presidents Cup
  • Fall competition, three weekends
    • State Cup:  15U, 16U, 17U, 18U, & 19U
    • Presidents Cup:  15U, 16U, 17U, & 18U (There will be no Presidents Cup offered @ 19U age group)
      • Fall 2017 group play dates are October 14-15 and 21-22 @ Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines
      • Fall 2017 age groups are 15U-19U
    • Advancement to Championship Weekend, October 28-29 @ Muscatine
      • 13U-19U teams finishing 1-4 are in the State Cup semifinals
      • 13U-18U teams finishing 5-8 are in the Presidents Cup semifinals
      • Semifinals played Saturday; Championship matches Sunday
  • Spring competition, dates TBA
    • State Cup: 13U, 14U
    • Presidents Cup: 13U, 14U
    • Weekend one: Group play
    • Weekend two: Championship Weekend (elimination play)
  • State Champions will be crowned in each competition and advance to the respective Regional Championship, representing Iowa
  • The Iowa State Cup is considered the highest level youth championship in the state and extends  the premier pathway for Iowa teams to compete regionally and nationally against the best in the country
  • The Iowa Presidents Cup is the second highest level youth championship in the state and extends a second pathway for Iowa teams to participate in meaningful and competitive games, with the opportunity for regional and national advancement

 

Entry in the Iowa Soccer Championship Series

  • Spring entry opens mid-winter; announcement will go out to all State League, MRL and/or National League teams
  • Spring ISCS Entry fee, TBD
  • Spring Advancement fee, TBD (applies for advancement to a semifinal match and to a final match)
  • Spring Qualification Match Refund, TBD

Schedule

  • The ISCS group play schedule, the Iowa State Cup Championship Weekend schedule and the Iowa Presidents Cup Championship Weekend schedule will be combined as a single schedule link, via TourneyMachine, so its easy for participants to navigate from weekend to weekend
  • Schedule will be published shortly after the seeding process and draw for placement has been completed.
