ISCS Weekend One Recap

 
 

 

Des Moines, Iowa (May 29) -- Group play of the 2018 Iowa Soccer Championship Series (ISCS) was competed over the three-day holiday weekend and 72 games later, 32 teams have advanced to “Championship Weekend”.  The spring competition is for Iowa’s 13U and 14U teams.

The ISCS is the first step and qualifying competition for advancement into the Iowa State Cup and the Iowa Presidents Cup.  Summer’s early arrival saw temperatures in the upper 90’s all weekend in Cedar Falls and mandatory water breaks were implemented in the interest of safety.  The field of teams representing 16 clubs has been narrowed down to semifinalists who will compete in Muscatine this Saturday, June 2.  Championship matches will be played Sunday.  Click here for complete schedule/brackets.

13U Boys
16 teams competed for the chance to advance to Championship Weekend.  Semifinals are set for 9:00am Saturday.

    • #1 WDMSC v JUSC Premier
    • TRSC v FC United Red

 

13U Girls
Eight teams competed for the chance to advance to Championship Weekend.  Semifinals are set for 11:00am Saturday.

  • Presidents Cup Semifinals
    • Iowa Rush v CVSC
    • CRSA v CBSC
  • State Cup Semifinals
    • WDMSC Royal v JUSC Premier
    • VSA Premier v FC America

 

14U Boys
Eight teams competed for the chance to advance to Championship Weekend.  Semifinals are set for 1:00pm Saturday.

  • Presidents Cup Semifinals
    • IC Alliance v JUSC Premier
    • CRSA v FC United
  • State Cup Semifinals
    • Des Moines Menace Academy v WDMSC Royal
    • BSA White v VSA Premier

 

14U Girls
12 teams competed for the chance to advance to Championship Weekend.  Semifinals are ste for 3:00pm Saturday.

  • Presidents Cup Semifinals
    • JUSC Premier v FC United
    • CVSC v Iowa Rush
  • State Cup Semifinals
    • CRSA v Muscatine
    • VSA Premier v WDMSC Royal


Winners of each Cup will advance to represent Iowa at the regional championships of each event.  The Region II Presidents Cup will be competed June 14-18 in West Chester, Ohio, with the Midwest Regional Championships following from June 22-27 in Westfield, Ind.  The 13U and 14U champions will join Iowa champions in the 15U-19U age groups, which were determined in last October’s Iowa Soccer Championship Series competition.
