For the 2018 Spring High School Soccer Season, there were 5 corrections made to the 2016-17 NFHS Soccer Rules Book; rules changes re: visible apparel and headgear for players, communication sets and beeper flags for officials, and procedures governing the Kickoff, Free Kick, and Penalty Kick restarts; and, points-of-emphasis.
Each of these topics is presented and discussed in the following 21 minute video from the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS).
The NFHS Soccer Rules Book governs matches sanctioned by both the IHSAA and the IGHSAU.
The 2018 Online Soccer Rules Meeting presentation is required viewing for all high school soccer officials by the IHSAA and IGHSAU.
