Registration and Rostering

Registration of players, teams and coaches occurs at the club level, so that is where those individuals and groups start the registration process.  Clubs then work with Iowa Soccer through the online registration system to verify and approve registrations.  Club registrars have direct contact with Iowa Soccer, so if you have questions about the process, transfers, player cards, rosters, etc...start by contacting your club's registrar. Iowa Soccer Member Club:

Over the last three years, our organization has expanded and evolved with the launch of new programming, the addition of staff, the introduction of bold initiatives and a move to an office space that supports our growth. In order to support this development, we have used our reserves to invest in our organization and to also cover shortfalls in operating revenue. And it’s been worth it! Annual parent and coach surveys have provided key data points that indicate our members are having positive experiences with Iowa Soccer, and that they are looking to us for increased resources and leadership. So we continue to charge forward!

For the 2018-19 seasonal year, we introduced two exciting programs that will be funded with reserves: free coach education and an increased commitment to player safety through enhanced, annual coach/volunteer background checks. We also made a commitment to invest in indoor/outdoor facility development going forward, as we need to lead in helping to solve facility challenges.

Our ambition and resulting growth has relied upon our reserve funds to cover shortfall, a model that can’t carry us indefinitely. Just as our member clubs do regularly, we need to make sure our organization is in a sound financial position going forward. As a result, we’ve restructured and adjusted fees that will be effective for the 2019-20 seasonal year. These adjustments will support our positive, member-focused trajectory and provide solid financial footing that will enable us to continue to dynamically pursue our vision (soccer the sport of choice) and live our mission (provide soccer opportunities). Unless our National Governing Bodies (US Soccer, US Youth Soccer or US Adult Soccer) levy a player fee increase -- resulting in a passthrough to members -- we expect this to be the fee structure for 2020-21 as well.

We’re excited to continue building a positive Iowa Soccer experience for members through resources, programming and services! Thank you for all you do at the grassroots level of our amazing game and we hope you have some down time this winter before ramping up for the spring season!
