Iowa Referees Well-Represented at US Youth Soccer National Championship Series Midwest Region Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa (June 30, 2006) -- This year’s US Youth Soccer Midwest Region Championships was held in the Fox Cities, Wis. from June 24 th through 28 th. Eleven Iowa referees officiated in round-robin and semifinals/finals matches.
The regional competition is one of four such tournaments that make up the next-highest level of a national championship. Teams from the 14-state region met to determine region champions from the U13 through U19 boys’ and girls’ age brackets, with the winners moving on to compete in the US Youth Soccer National Championships.
