This past weekend at the Annual General Meeting and Worskhops, I unveiled a new service (LeagueOne) the Iowa Soccer Association will switch to for registration that will benefit all our members -- one that you will find familiar, yet more streamlined.  (Please note, this service takes effect for Fall 2007 registrations, not spring!)

In short, I have found a solution to integrating our required Risk-Management Volunteer Disclosure and Coach Code of Conduct procedures with our player and coach registration process.  In addition to eliminating paperwork, the icing on the cake is that the service is web-based, which will allow for much greater access, real-time information and virtually eliminate you mailing or emailing your information to my office for processing.

This newsletter is complete with links that both summarize and go into detail about this switch.  Please take some time to go through the links and note any questions you have.

What is LeagueOne?
The Active Network

Tave Porto, West Des Moines Soccer Club

I am excited about ISA implementing LeagueOne for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:
  • Web-based program
  • Accessible by multiple, authorized users
  • Streamline the registration process
  • ISA receives data directly versus disc or e-mail attachment
  • LeagueOne will maintain Data Integrity
  • Registrations, including new players, transfers and deletes will go directly to ISA; currently this is a cumbersome process
  • Support and training provided

Nancy is working on March or April dates for LeagueOne to come to Iowa for training sessions.  It's envisioned that the 4-hour session will be conducted in four different areas of the state.  Stay tuned for confirmed dates and locations; another e-newsletter will be on the way with the details!
