Whitney Sharpe, from West Des Moines, has signed on to play professionally in Holland with Ajax.  Sharpe completed her collegiate eligibility last fall and then posted a highlight video to YouTube.  Receiving interest immediately from Ajax's manager and coach, they flew her to Amsterdam for a trial with the team in mid-January.  By January 29, she'd signed her contract!

 

Sharpe was a member of the Iowa ODP team throughout her youth days and also was selected to the Region II ODP team as well as Youth National Teams from U15 through U20.  On the high school level, she competed for Valley.
