The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

US Soccer Mandates

What the governing body says...goes!

On August 24, 2015, U.S. Soccer announced mandates that resulted in significant changes to the youth soccer environment: birth year registration and small-sided games/standards.  These were implemented effective August 1, 2016.

Birth Year Registration: Players are now grouped on teams by birth year (January 1-December 31).  This is consistent with the other 208 FIFA countries that register youth players by their year of birth.

Small Sided Standards: For small-sided play there were a number of changes including playing numbers, roster sizes, field sizes, goal sizes, game lengths and rules.

    • Please note that in the 7v7 diagram a "build-out line" is shown, but no dimension is provided.  Following that diagram are two pages from Iowa Soccer designating where the build-out line is for us and a numbering system for your team.  Effective Fall 2016, Iowa Soccer is instructing members to utilize the halfway line for the build-out line.
