Iowa Soccer's Referee Academy is a newer developmental opportunity designed for youth referees who desire additional training and advancement on the referee pathway. The Academy is a residential experience, held on the campus of Grinnell College, with a session for 12 boys and a session for 12 girls, and each session coincides with the Iowa Soccer D. Camp, a residential program for youth players. Through outside funding and support, the camp is free for the selected referees.

• There is no fee for accepted referees

• The Academy is limited to 12 spots in each session (12 boys, 12 girls). Shortly following the close of registration on May 5, Academy Director Hidajet Tica will contact all those registered to confirm your Academy acceptance status.

Registration: Opens at 8:00am April 17​

SPOND Registration System You do not need to set up an account in advance of registration opening. The registration link is live, but actual registration will not open for you to complete until 8:00am April 17. Existing SPOND Users: If your child has a SPOND Account already, please use that to register when prompted.  Please make sure to click on "I'm a guardian, signing up a child"  New to SPOND? We recommend completing the registration via computer for the first timers. After hitting the registration button below, select the option to get a "One-time code" emailed to you.  Check your email right away for the code and then enter it as a password. From there it goes to the registration page. Registration asks for basic contact information and short and t-shirt size of the referee registering.
