The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

HUDL

resources & instruction

The Iowa Referee Committee (IRC) uses HUDL – a tool used by many high schools, colleges, and clubs as a repository for match video. Coaches use the video to isolate situational clips aimed at improving their players' game day performance.

Iowa referees sent to major youth tournaments have the opportunity to study match video of their performances at nightly training sessions where what went well and what didn’t go so well are reviewed. The intent is NOT to single anyone out but to focus on the mentor / assessor observations made that particular game day. The referees, assistant referees, and 4th officials all benefit from the discussions and can apply the points of emphasis to their next game.

As a soccer official, when you join our HUDL team, you will have access to the IHSAA / IGHSAU soccer game highlights we're creating based on Coach and Referee / Assistant Referee input and Mentor / Assessor feedback.

  • If you're already on the Iowa Referee Committee – SDI-IA team, go to IRC Highlights and login to view HUDL content.
