The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Your Annual Responsibilities

Recertification & registration

Each year in order to be eligible as a U.S. Soccer Referee, you must recertify and register.

Recertify...why?

The Laws change. Memoranda are issued every year.

  • Recertification ensures that you have been made aware of the changes and of any points-of-emphasis for the next registration year.
  • Certified means you have satisfied U.S. Soccer's annual continuing education requirement.
  • Referees will meet this requirement by completing the appropriate Recertification Course, i.e., Grassroots or Regional, in the US Soccer Learning Center.
Registration is different how?

You must register with U.S. Soccer every year.

  • Registered means you are current with your annual registration fees and have been issued a Badge for that year.
  • After your Registration is approved by the Registrar, you'll receive a new Badge in the mail from Official Sports International (OSI).
  • The earlier you register, the sooner you'll receive your new Badge.
