DES MOINES, Iowa (April 12, 2023) – Iowa Soccer has joined the US Youth Soccer University, delivering another benefit of membership on an educational training platform powered by etrainu. The “USYS U” is the first-ever gathering of educational resources designed to educate members on a multitude of subjects so they can perform better on and off the field of play.
Iowa Soccer aims to provide soccer opportunities across Iowa and make soccer the sport of choice for all. The partnership between USYS University and Iowa Soccer seeks to bring this mission to life by offering key infrastructure and resources.
Through the partnership, Iowa Soccer’s 80 affiliate organizations’ leaders, and member youth and adult players, registered coaches, along with the families who support them will benefit from access to education, a dynamic platform, and a wealth of opportunities.
The University will bring together content from partners like TrueSport, Hospital for Special Surgery, Soccer Parenting, US Center for Safe Sport, Mojo and US Center for Mental Health and Sport. Alongside that, many unique courses will be designed and developed by USYS.
Cameron O’Riordan, VP of Sales and Revenue at etrainu, said, “We are excited to have Iowa Soccer join USYS University. etrainu is eager to help them realize their vision and promote the game through education.”

The University has two subscription tiers, freemium, which contains introductory courses and access to the platform, and premium, which includes exclusive course content for $5 per year. Learners can sign up for the University and select the subscription model that best suits their needs.
